On Tuesday, December 27, 2017 from 7:00pm – 9:00pm, North Georgia Pipes & Drums and Johns Creek Presbyterian Church will host the Inaugural session of the Atlanta Piobaireachd Listening Club. The goal is to provide a place where players and listeners can come together to enjoy this classical music of the bagpipes. The general public is invited to join us for this interesting evening of rarely heard music. Pipers will enjoy an opportunity to perform in a non-competitive, non-judgmental environment.

Thanks to our continued success and improvements in our competitive endeavors, the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association has upgraded us to Grade 4. We are one of two Grade 4 bands in the state of Georgia and there is only one Georgia band ranked higher.
In our new grade we will play more advanced music for our competition repertoire, including an MSR (a march, strathspey and reel) and a medley featuring many different styles of music in just a few minutes. We’ll also continue to develop our repertoire of classic tunes and original music as we move forward.
We invite inquiries if you’d like to hire the band, as well as from interested musicians looking to join a serious pipe band.
North Georgia Pipes and Drums placed First in the Grade 5 Band Competition, in our first Stone Mountain contest as NoGaPD. Our performance can be seen here on YouTube. It is our first win at our home games since 2012.
We end our competition season tied for 6th place overall in the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association.
Effective July 4, 2016 our band will perform and compete under the name North Georgia Pipes & Drums. We feel this name is more representative of our geographical area, and provides us with more distinct branding in the local piping scene. Same great people, same terrific music, new name!
North Atlanta Pipes and Drums won the Ken Swinton Memorial Trophy again, by placing First in the Grade 5 Band Competition. Our performance can be seen here on YouTube.
